Job summary

The University of Maryland is seeking a Testing Proctor and Prepper to support ADS Accommodated Testing. This role involves preparing exam materials, verifying student IDs, and ensuring secure testing environments in alignment with ADA guidelines.

Hours are 10–20 per week with multiple shifts; candidates should have a high school diploma and, ideally, a bachelor’s degree. Strong reading, writing, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proctor experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions with accuracy.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to document and report clearly.

Responsibilities

• Print exam materials and prepare envelopes with required supplies.
• Register students and verify IDs for exam security and accommodations.
• Maintain exam materials in proper order and accuracy.
• Explain accommodations and end times to students prior to testing.
• Observe testing sessions and report any irregularities to the Testing Office.
• Follow check-out procedures and assist with general testing office duties as needed.
