Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, invites motivated students to join our Respiratory Care Unit as a student/trainee. You will perform respiratory therapies, oxygen administration, basic pulmonary function tests, and document patient responses per protocol under supervision.

Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Program with pharmacology coursework is required; graduate status is preferred. The role offers hands-on experience in a hospital setting with day shifts and flexible scheduling for

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Program and pharmacology course completed.
• No prior experience required.
• Evaluate and chart patient response to therapy per protocol.
• Able to educate patients, students and new staff.
• MBRC Education Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy treatments and tests (including floor therapy).
• Oxygen administration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
• Conduct basic pulmonary function procedures.
• Evaluate and chart patient response to therapy.
• Work in hospital areas as directed by supervisor.
