Job summary

Cox Medical Center Branson invites a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care Department. You will deliver life-saving respiratory treatments, assess patient needs, and support the intubation and arterial line insertion team in a busy Branson hospital.

Ideal candidates are graduates from accredited programs, hold Missouri RRT licensure, and commit to timely BLS renewal. This on-site role supports a day shift with extensive patient contact and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program.
• Missouri State License for Respiratory (RRT) required; NBRC credential.
• Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide medicated and non-medicated respiratory therapies.
• Perform invasive and noninvasive ventilation, oxygen administration and titration.
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and related respiratory diagnostics.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to plan and implement patient care.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses and assists in the determination of a respiratory plan of care based on physical assessment, diagnosis, and patient history. The Registered Respiratory Therapist may provide medicated and non-medicated therapies, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, oxygen administration and titration, diagnostic testing as related to ventilation and pulmonary function as well as arterial blood gas analysis.Job RequirementsEducation: Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldExperience: No prior experience requiredSkills: Provides care as appropriate to age of population served. Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities. Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol. Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation. Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff. Possesses assessment and critical thinking skills Possesses in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Missouri State License for Respiratory RRT credential from the NBRC Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire
