Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking University Student Teacher Supervisors (USTS) to provide supervision to student teachers in Charlottesville and Albemarle County public schools. You will conduct in-person and video observations, coordinate with mentor teachers, and provide targeted feedback through a web-based observation tool.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, at least three years of full-time teaching in public schools, and a current or former teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• At least three years of full-time experience teaching PreK‑12 in public schools.
• Current or previously held professional teaching license; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate meetings with mentor teacher/student teacher pairs.
• Conduct in-person and video observation cycles (3 fall, 5 spring).
• Communicate students' progress to the Teacher Education faculty and staff.
