Job summary

William & Mary invites applications for adjunct faculty to supervise university student teachers. The supervisor mentors candidates, observes performance, and provides feedback. This role serves as instructor of record and liaises with partner schools.

Responsibilities include five student-teacher observations per semester, formal evaluations, and attendance at annual training sessions. Travel to placement sites is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Current or former state teaching license.
• At least three years of successful, full-time teaching.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise student teachers during their placements.
• Observe student teachers five times per semester in K-12 settings.
• Provide coaching, formative feedback, and conduct conferences with student-teacher pairs.
