Job summary

SAN-Diego-Community-College-District invites applications for a Student Systems Support Technician in the Educational Services Division's District Student Services department, at the District Admin Office. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM; adjust as needed. Transfers to other sites may occur at the Chancellor’s option.

Excellent benefits are provided to contract employees with 50%+ assignments, and eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will apply to new hires.

Qualifications

• Team environment with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, maintain accurate and complex files, and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of financial aid processes in a higher education setting.
• Interpret rules, laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to students.
• Use independent judgment, work independently with little to no direction.
• Ability to develop organizational systems to meet schedules and timelines.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Colleague, or Banner.
• Two to three years of increasingly responsible experience involving interpretation and application of rules in student services.
