Communities In Schools of North Carolina seeks a Student Support Specialist at Weldon High School in Weldon, NC. The role focuses on coordinating CIS services, assessing student needs, and managing a School Support team to implement tiered interventions using data-driven plans.

The position emphasizes building relationships with staff, students, and families, delivering evidence-based supports, and reporting on progress while ensuring program fidelity across the school site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate successful implementation of the CIS Model and TQS Student Support Standards.
• Collaborate with school staff to assess, identify and prioritize student needs.
• Lead a School Support team and manage CIS operations at the school site.
• Conduct annual needs assessment using multiple data sources for the School Support Plan.
• Develop School Support Plan with ABC+P interventions and supports.
• Provide case management and evidence-based interventions.
• Regularly collect, report, and interpret student data (weekly).
• Monitor progress and adjust the School Support Plan quarterly as needed.
• Engage with parents/guardians of identified students.
• Provide data-rich reports to supervisor.
• Present CIS mission and initiatives to community via meetings.
