Job summary

Lanier Technical College, located in Gainesville, GA (Hall Campus), seeks a full-time Student Support Specialist to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.

The role reports to the Director of Counseling and Student Support Services and includes data entry, front-desk support rotation, and coordination of major departmental events. A background check is required, and the position is benefits-eligible. Telework options may be available after six months.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university AND three (3) years of related work experience in a customer service environment.
• Knowledge of FERPA and confidentiality requirements is preferred.
• Experience with data management and using campus information systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to assist with service delivery.
• Collect and compile data for Special Populations, Accessibility Services and Career Services.
• Enter information into data systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Administer and monitor accommodated testing per approved accommodations.
• Plan and coordinate major department events (Career Fair, Resource Fair, Campus Life).
• Manage student ID process and verify enrollment/identity for ID issuance.
