Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a Student Support Specialist 1 in the Department of Psychology. This role connects students to a broad range of academic, professional, and personal support services to enhance skills and increase persistence and graduation rates.

The position is full-time, hybrid in nature with potential remote work after training. You will assist with program administration, maintain databases, and coordinate workshops and activities for Psychology and Neuroscience students,

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • Experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related area preferred.
  • Demonstrated student service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in administration of programs, developing program materials, and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate programs and engage in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Assist in specialized administrative, operational or technical projects.
  • Maintain databases and prepare reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to gain knowledge of department administration or operations.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track progress of projects and functions.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve non-routine issues.
  • Assist in coordinating workshops, meetings, and activities.
