Blazer Jobs is partnering with school districts in the Kansas City area to hire dedicated School Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must have an associate degree or 48 college credits; prior experience with children or individuals with special needs is desirable.

The role involves assisting teachers, supporting students with special needs, and helping maintain a positive learning environment under teacher direction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Must meet KSDE paraprofessional requirements (such as passing a paraprofessional assessment if applicable).
• Background check and fingerprint clearance per district guidelines.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional support to students.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, including those with special needs.
• Support classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist with implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction.
• Help with daily classroom tasks, preparation of materials, and supervision.
• Provide behavioral and academic support as needed.
