Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: 60 college credits, an associate degree or higher, or state paraprofessional assessments.
• Completion of Missouri's substitute training program (20 hours)

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers in team teaching, planning and daily routines.
• Provide group instruction to assigned children.
• Assist in communicating curriculum with children and parents.
• Prepare and set up daily materials.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff.
• Participate in program planning and parent involvement activities.
• Attend PD sessions and lead groups when needed.
• Implement IEP-based activities and daily living skills training.
• Provide supervision and support outside the classroom when required.
• Provide short-term classroom coverage when the teacher is away.
