Job summary

Spokane Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with disabilities across multiple classrooms under certified staff supervision. You will assist with instructional activities, behavior strategies, and daily routines, including mobility and personal care as required.

The position is full-time with standard school hours, offering SEBB benefits and opportunities for growth. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits (AA/BA preferred).
• Must demonstrate ability to assist students with disabilities and adapt to varied classroom settings.
• Must be able to perform personal care tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction support and assist with implementation of IEP/504 accommodations.
• Assist teachers in managing behavior and routines across settings.
• Assist with mobility support, personal care, and safety of students.
• Monitor and document student data to aid intervention planning.
• Collaborate with staff to adjust supports based on student needs.
