Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of at least two years of College (48 units), or Associate degree (or higher) from an accredited state college.
• Experience working with students.
• Experience working with low economic and at-risk populations.
• Experience in education of individuals with exceptional needs, deaf or hard of hearing, or related CTE/Literacy areas.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Sign Language Interpreter Qualifications: Fluent in sign language, RID certification, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist educators in instructional duties and general responsibilities such as organizing and tutoring support.
• Provide additional student support including accommodations and online assessments.
• Assist in related data entry for students enrolling in the program or school.
• Facilitate program implementation and support maintenance efforts like transportation, guest speakers, field trips.
• Translate communications between students and teachers for sign language interpreters.
