Job summary

The Bremerton School District 100-C is seeking a Split Grade Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year. This one-year assignment may continue with a different role in the following year.

The role supports teachers by planning curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and conducting student assessments. Responsibilities include supervising students, maintaining records, and assisting with mobility, medical support, or therapy as directed, in line with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or 72 college credits acceptable.
• ParaPro Test (Praxis) with passing score 455+ or Pearson 220+ or Master Teacher score >65%.
• Some child development coursework or training preferred.
• Experience with children in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with planning curriculum and preparing materials.
• Conduct student assessments and maintain records.
• Instruct individuals or small groups to promote learning objectives.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and well-being.
• Assist with toileting and basic hygiene needs as required.
• Provide medical assistance or therapy sessions as directed.
