Job summary

Bellevue School District is seeking a Para Educator IV to assist students in specialized programs and provide daily living, health, and safety support. Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• At least one of: ETS Paraeducator Assessment; Associate of Arts degree; 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits; completed apprenticeship; foreign degree evaluated by NACES.
• First Aid/CPR certification required; General Paraeducator Certificate courses as identified by OSPI.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and adaptive/life skills.
• Provide for students' physical, health and safety needs.
• Support students with disabilities academically, functionally, vocationally and with specially designed instruction.
• Advocate for students in their least restrictive environment.
• Coaching and support for staff as needed.
• Collect data for behavioral assessments and implement IEP components.
