Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• Project Para training is provided for candidates who do not have 48 hours of college coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and student learning.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support.
• Help students with academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Prepare instructional materials and learning centers.
• Supervise students during assemblies, drills, recess and field trips.
• Maintain records and assist with classroom paperwork.
• Support students with physical needs, including restroom assistance when necessary.
• Work closely with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
