Job summary

Springfield School District is seeking an Educational Paraeducator to assist a teacher in delivering instruction and supporting students in a variety of settings. You will help prepare materials, support small groups or individuals, maintain records, and implement behavioral strategies under supervision.

Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in a diverse school environment. This position offers a collaborative team setting and opportunities to contribute to student success

Qualifications

Education: High school degree or equivalent, plus one of the following criteria (Associates or 45 college credits).
Experience: One year of directly relevant school-based experience preferred.
Language/communication: ability to read, write, and explain documents; effective spoken communication.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and modifying instructional materials.
Provide instruction to individuals or small groups under supervision.
Supervise students as needed and support self-care.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Follow district policies and procedures and assist with record keeping.
Monitor students in crisis and attend staff/parent meetings as required.
Participate in in-service training and other duties as assigned.
