Job summary

Waukazoo Elementary School is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students and collaborate with teachers. Beginning November 16, 2026, the role is 29.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with outdoor conditions possible in cold weather and a flexible day-to-day approach.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or higher), experience with children preferred, and either 60 credit hours/Associates or ETS Parapro assessment. Reports to the Principal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• 60 credit hours or Associates Degree or ETS Parapro assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports students with morning drop off/pickups, recess supervision, and breaks.
• Work with teachers to ensure materials are prepared.
• Provide breaks for support staff and teachers.
• Lead and/or support students 1:1 or in small group instruction.
• Student behavior support.
• Support students with personal care needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
