Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking an Additional Learning Support Administrator to join the Foundation Learning and ALS department at Bedford College. You will support SEND processes, coordinate EHCP reviews, and maintain accurate learner records while delivering high levels of customer service to staff and students.

You will work across safeguarding and compliance, support tools like CogNassist, and contribute to flexible incident management and cross-campus teamwork.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and maths (or willingness to achieve).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Commitment to gaining a Level 3 Business qualification.

Responsibilities

  • SEND Processes & Learner Support Coordination – Support the management of SEND processes including referrals, support meetings, EHCP reviews and exam access arrangements, ensuring learners access appropriate Additional Learning Support.
  • Student Engagement & Customer Service – Act as a first point of contact for staff and students, providing clear advice and guidance while delivering a high level of customer service across all interactions.
  • Administrative & Record Management – Prepare and maintain accurate SEND documentation, learner files, timetables and support records, ensuring compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
  • EHCP & Systems Support – Coordinate EHCP consultations and annual review processes, manage tracking systems, and support tools such as CogNassist to enhance learner support delivery.
  • Teamwork, Compliance & Professional Practice – Work collaboratively within the ALS team, uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety and training expectations, and contribute flexibly to departmental priorities.
