Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or a minimum of 48 college-level credit hours.
• Experience working in a TK-8 grade school setting or other high-quality educational setting.
• Experience or willingness to work in socio-economically, racially, and culturally diverse classroom setting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Approx. 50% of time seated; ability to walk, stand, bend as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with ongoing student progress and achievement assessment using various data.
• Help tailor instruction using data to meet individual students' academic and social needs.
• Support classroom culture and social-emotional learning in classroom and outdoor spaces.
• Supervise playground and lunch/recess areas; ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with fellow Student Support Associates to plan activities and support students with diverse needs.
