Job summary

California State University, Fresno invites applications for an Essential Needs Resource Specialist (Student Services Professional II). This full-time, temporary role supports students facing challenges that affect academic success by providing case management, resource navigation, and coordinated campus/community support.

Under supervision, you will assess needs, develop plans, connect students with housing, food, financial, health resources, and contribute to retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Equivalence to a four-year degree in behavioral sciences, public or business administration or related field plus two years of professional student services experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience addressing basic needs insecurity, housing/food insecurity, and financial hardship.
• Ability to coordinate services across multiple systems and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive student support services and case management.
• Assist students facing challenges that affect academic success, retention, and well-being.
• Collaborate with campus departments and community organizations for coordinated support.
• Participate in committees focused on student retention and success initiatives.
