Job summary

Cherry Creek is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support students under the direction of a licensed staff member. You will help individuals and small groups with curriculum work, prepare materials, monitor behavior, and record student progress.

The role includes assisting with tests, attending to administrative tasks, and supporting field trips and school activities. A background check is required; educational prerequisites include a HSE diploma or higher as applicable.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments must meet one of the following requirements: two years of college, an associate degree, or equivalent knowledge in reading/writing/mathematics.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. (Daily 30%).
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery for individuals and small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the teacher: typing, filing, inventory, data entry, and light bookkeeping.
• Assist with field trips, fire drills, and other classroom events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
