Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support students under a licensed staff member. You will help individuals or small groups with curriculum, prepare materials, monitor students, and assist with discipline procedures.

This role may involve working with behaviorally challenging children. Your duties include assisting with classroom activities, monitoring behavior, preparing tests, grading, and supporting field trips or events as needed.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments require specific educational equivalences.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials and grading; document as needed.
• Support students individually and in small groups to reinforce curriculum.
• Monitor behavior and reinforce appropriate conduct during activities and on trips.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the classroom teacher, including data entry and organizing supplies.
• Assist with field trips or fire drills and other events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
