Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk students and implementing appropriate programs
• Excellent communication with at-risk students and parents from diverse backgrounds
• Patient, positive and proactive attitude when addressing challenges
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience

Responsibilities

• Work with students, teachers and specialists to implement positive intervention plans and accountability.
• Provide a safe environment for students in emotional crisis.
• Provide tutoring/remediation one-on-one or small groups under supervision.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
• Assist with organization of activities, events and paperwork.
• Maintain records and assist with Medicaid billing.
• Assist with informal testing/monitoring of objectives (reading, math, fluency).
• Assist with IEP paperwork as needed.
• Support instruction in groups and individual settings for students with behavior problems.
• Manage classroom centers and prepare materials.
• Contribute to incentive projects including outdoor activities.
• Grade student work and record goals/grades as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
