Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local education policies and regulations.
• Ability to learn and apply relevant tools, equipment or software used in education.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to communicate positively with students, staff and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of school information.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with administration, counselors and other personnel about student needs.
• Work with teachers in assigning and completing coursework.
• Disperse assignments to and collect work from in-school suspension students.
• Assist with strategies to help students behave appropriately in social settings.
• Maintain daily records of students assigned to in-school suspension and silent lunch.
• Supervise students in and outside the classroom.
