Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Two years of related college coursework required.
• One year of experience in a mental health or human service program preferably working with behaviorally complex children.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Services field preferred.
• Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Provide one-on-one and group therapy processing sessions and develop individual behavior plans.
• Observe and document student behavior, attendance, and academic progress; evaluate data and make recommendations.
• Establish rapport with students, staff, and families to promote positive outcomes.
• Serve as a liaison among students, parents, CMS programs, and community agencies.
• Implement behavior management programs and assist teachers to develop strategies.
• Assist with day-to-day discipline and coordinate activities for parents.
• Provide supervision to students assigned to alternative settings and respond to requests for assistance.
• Monitor and document progress related to social, behavioral, and academic skills.
• Attend staff meetings and perform related work as assigned.
