Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or 48 college credits or equivalent assessment (WorkKeys) or completion of NC DOL Apprenticeship Program or NC ATA PD plan.
  • Associate's degree with a concentration in Education preferred.
  • Two or more years working with elementary age children preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with administration, counselors and other personnel about academic and behavioral needs of students.
  • Work with classroom teachers in the assignment and completion of coursework.
  • Disperse assignments to and collect assignments from in-school suspension students.
  • Offer strategies to help students act appropriately in social settings.
