Job summary

Northland Learning Center seeks a Paraprofessional to support instructional activities and behavior management under licensed staff guidance. The role focuses on direct interaction with students, following individualized plans and school procedures.

The position requires a two-year degree or higher or completion of Para Pro, along with proficiency in reading emails and computer use. The workday is 5.75 hours with an AFSCME contract and scheduled lunch break.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or higher or 60 credits toward a degree, or passing of the Para Pro Assessment.
• Basic child development background or knowledge preferred.
• Good human relations skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with student matters.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teaching, administrative, and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of teachers or certified professionals.
• Identify learner needs.
• Develop and implement programs to meet learner needs.
• Assess learner performance.
• Evaluate effectiveness of education programs and related services.
• Assist with delivery of instructional and direct services as assigned.
