Job summary

Primary duties include monitoring student work and behavior, helping with conferences, clerical tasks, keeping accurate records, and assisting with arrival/dismissal,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 60 college credits preferred.
• Prior experience in a child-centered environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in monitoring of students' academic work and behavioral performance.
• Contributes input during parent conferences.
• Performs classroom and school-related clerical duties as needed.
• Maintains accurate records; attendance, behavior modification points, lunch counts.
• Cleans and decorates classroom; designs monthly bulletin boards.
• Assists students during arrival and dismissal from school.
• Supervises students while moving throughout the building and during activities.
• Attends staff meetings, in-services and orientations.
• Attends annual trainings: Handle with Care and CPI/CPI, CPR.
• Responsible for miscellaneous duties; develops an annual PIP approved by the principal.
