Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Supplemental Instruction Leader to provide academic learning support. You will conduct supplemental instruction, tutor students in classrooms and skill labs, and help with daily operations of the learning centers.

Essential duties include assisting in workshops, leading small group discussions, and maintaining records and lesson plans. Strong communication and computer skills are required; remote work may be available with a reliable connection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college certificate or 30 college hours preferred.
• Demonstrated mastery of coursework in subject; grade B or better required, A preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational assistance to students to improve comprehension and mastery of the subject.
• Assist in preparing workshops and materials to enhance student learning.
• Attend classes or study sessions onsite or online as required.
• Lead small group discussions, demonstrations, or activities in class as directed.
• Maintain records and lesson plans using required software and forms.
