Job summary

South Texas College seeks a Supplemental Instruction Leader to provide academic support, tutoring students in classrooms and labs, and assist with daily operations of the Centers for Learning Excellence.

You will lead study sessions, prepare materials, and promote services while coordinating with faculty to boost student success. Remote/onsite duties apply with required documentation and training.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and internet research abilities.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and complete multiple tasks with attention to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational assistance to students in specific disciplines to improve comprehension.
• Attends classes or study sessions for currently enrolled students, onsite or online as assigned.
• Guides students in diverse settings, providing feedback and hands-on practice.
• Keeps regular records and lesson plans using required software and submits paperwork timely.
• Promotes learning center services and acts as liaison with faculty and staff for student success.
