Hocking College seeks a Peer Tutor Student Employee to provide academic support to fellow students. Responsibilities include tutoring in assigned subjects, coordinating with instructors, and maintaining records of tutoring sessions.

The position requires currently being enrolled as a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and strong subject knowledge. Tutors must deliver excellent customer service and engage students effectively.

Qualifications

• Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
• Minimum grade of B in the subject to be tutored.
• English tutors must have completed English 1510 with a grade of A.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic tutoring assistance to Hocking College students.
• Coordinate with lead instructors to ensure alignment with course objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions.
• Deliver excellent customer service.

Connaissances

Strong subject-matter knowledge in the content area being tutored

Ability to listen actively and engage students in a positive manner

Ability to clearly explain concepts

Basic computer proficiency and digital literacy

Formation

Currently enrolled as a full-time Hocking College student

Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Instructor recommendation from the course to be tutored
