Gateway Community & Technical College is seeking a Peer Tutor (Students Only) to support peers in mastering course content through various formats, including homework help, test preparation, and skill-building.

Tutors will work 10–20 hours per week in a discretionary hybrid setting, documenting each session. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and tutoring experience are highly valued.

Formación

• GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
• Grade A or high B in the courses to be tutored.
• Two faculty recommendations preferred.
• Patience, kindness, dependability, and genuine interest in helping others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain and reinforce course content.
• Prior tutoring experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Be punctual, prepared, and engaged during tutoring sessions.

• Utilize appropriate resources and refer students when necessary.
• Escalate student progress or concerns to supervisor as needed.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Reach out to students referred for tutoring.
• Accurately report hours worked and submit timesheets weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
