Job summary

La Sierra University is seeking a part-time SASS Student Assistant to support Academic Advising, Career Services, Testing Center, and student outreach. You will serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and assist with administrative projects and events.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and professional, with excellent communication skills and a willingness to help students succeed in a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a La Sierra University student in good standing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to maintain confidentiality (FERPA).
• Experience with customer service or office work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and answer phones; direct inquiries to appropriate campus resources.
• Support outreach to students via calls, emails, and texts; document interactions in university systems.
• Assist with preparation, data entry, and maintenance of student records; help with events and workshops.
• Create flyers or digital materials; assist with social media and departmental websites.
• Maintain a clean front desk and assist with registration events and appointments.
