Job summary

Lincoln Tech in Columbia, MD seeks a Student Services Coordinator to support the student community as a comprehensive resource and facilitator, focusing on student success, program needs, and campus life.

You will advise students on academics and conduct, assist the Dean and program supervisors, coordinate tutoring, monitor retention, and help maintain community resource information in the library, contributing to a welcoming and productive school environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including federal, state, and local regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and manipulate key statistics related to student retention.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office systems.

Responsibilities

• Confer with and advise students on academic, disciplinary, and related issues such as poor attendance and school performance.
• Assist the Dean/Program Supervisors in maintaining a secure and educationally conducive environment.
• Manage student tutoring program while identifying and assisting at-risk students who exhibit academic deficiencies.
• Oversee activities related to improving student retention and satisfaction as well as provide feedback to campus management.
• Establish and maintain current community resource center information in the library to address student issues.
