Qualifications

• Two to three years of professional experience in academic advising, student success, higher education, enrollment services, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to advise students and assist with academic planning and problem-solving.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Commitment to student success, retention, and inclusive student support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and campus partners.

Responsibilities

• Advise undecided students and help develop academic plans for timely degree completion.
• Meet with students to address scheduling, major/minor exploration, transfer credits, and enrollment issues.
• Support first-year students before SOAR with academic planning and course planning.
• Provide individualized guidance on policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Maintain accurate advising records and documentation.
