Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff by assisting students with basic curriculum work, implementing programs, and reinforcing learning skills.

You will prepare materials, monitor students, and document progress, while helping manage behavior. The role may involve work with behaviorally challenging students and requires daily collaboration with teachers.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I qualifications: two years of college or higher degree or demonstrated knowledge
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Daily 30%
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in groups or individually Daily 30%
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities Daily 20%
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher including typing, filing, data entry Daily 10%
• Assist with field trips or fire drills as necessary Daily 5%
• Perform other duties as assigned Daily 5%
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the teacher, including typing, filing, data entry, and supply ordering.
• Support field trips and other events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
