Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will support curriculum delivery for individuals and small groups, prepare instructional materials, monitor progress, and maintain records in both in-person and remote settings.

The role includes assisting with IEP accommodations, behavior supports, and safety in the classroom, and may involve duties such as fire drills and documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification, licenses, and trainings must be valid and current.
• HSE diploma or higher required for candidate eligibility.
• CPR/First Aid training is preferred.
• Ability to modify curriculum and use behavior modification strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior and report observations to IEP team.
• Prepare materials, administer tests, and help with attendance and paperwork.
• Support online learning environments with technology and instructional materials.
