Job summary
Sonoma State University seeks an Outreach Coordinator, Upward Bound, to provide comprehensive academic advising and case management for TRiO program participants. You will collaborate with university staff and administrators to support student success and coordinate outreach services, including recruitment and college placement.
The role requires a four-year degree, experience with TRIO or similar programs, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s may substitute for 1 year of experience).
- Two years’ experience with TRIO, academic support, or similar programs and with low-income/first-generation students is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive academic advising to program participants.
- Coordinate outreach services (recruitment, college placement, school outreach).
- Collaborate with advisors, staff, faculty, and administrators to support student success.
- Perform case management and related duties for program participants.
