Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking an Outreach Coordinator for Upward Bound to deliver advising, case management and coordinated outreach for program participants. You will collaborate with advisors, staff, faculty and administrators to enhance the educational experience of students.

Your responsibilities include recruitment, college placement and school outreach within TRIO/academic support programs to help low-income, first-generation students succeed.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required; Master’s may substitute for one year of experience.
• Three years of professional student services work experience.
• Two years’ TRIO/academic support program experience with low-income, first-generation students.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency highly preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Google Suite and PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic advising and case management for program participants.
• Coordinate outreach services: student recruitment, college placement, school outreach.
• Collaborate with other advisors, campus staff, faculty and administrators to support student success.
