Job summary

Broward College seeks a Student Support Specialist for the Seahawk NEST Academy Grant, Institutional Accessibility. This role provides direct support to students in all areas of student life, assisting with enrollment, onboarding, and academic planning on the Broward College campus.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Vocational Rehabilitation, campus services, and community partners to promote student success, while adhering to policies and federal accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; an equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
• Three years of related experience.
• Ability to manage own work to job and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Daily - 50%: assists with recruitment, enrollment, onboarding; liaison between Vocational Rehabilitation and NEST students; support campus schedules; assist with assistive technology plans; maintain Seahawk NEST files and records.
• Daily - 25%: assist with office management, greet visitors, respond to correspondence, support social media, website and event programming; collect student data for reporting.
• Other - 20%: build community partnerships; participate in meetings and professional organizations; support recruitment events; ensure compliance with policy and accessibility laws.
• Other - 5%: perform related duties as assigned.
