Job summary

The University of Maine and the University of Maine at Machias invite applications for a Student Success Advocate. This 12-month, in-person role centers on supporting students to achieve educational goals, bridging resources across Machias and Orono, and fostering belonging through engagement and proactive outreach.

You will travel between campuses, participate in weekend events, and deliver data-driven interventions to identify early signs of risk and connect students with the right supports.

Qualifications

• Typically has a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in academic advising or student services.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for students and connect them with campus resources on Machias and Orono campuses.
• Travel between UMaine Machias and Orono to support a seamless student experience, including weekend events.
• Provide proactive, data-driven interventions using EAB Navigate to identify early warning signs.
