The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a STUDENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR to lead admissions and records for undergraduate and graduate programs, coordinating enrollment processing, financial aid referrals, and academic progression. The role reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and supervises four Student Success professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience required.
• Master's degree from an accredited institution; minimum of three years of successful experience in higher education student services; and demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency with Salesforce CRM, including experience creating reports, managing student records, and utilizing automation and workflows preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience in student admission, progression, and graduation, mentoring and adherence to all FERPA standards, systems development integration, team leadership and other similar services are necessary for this position.
• Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a higher education student services setting; ability to integrate computer applications and use software.

• This role administers and operates admissions and academic progression for undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
• Provides leadership for communications, enrollment processing, registration, financial aid referrals, and records management.
• Directs admissions operations for SON programs and serves as Salesforce CRM administrator.
• Counsels applicants, reviews transcripts, and applies policy in coordination with committees and faculty.
• Supervises staff and collaborates with multiple stakeholders to improve Student Success programs.
