University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a STUDENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR to oversee admissions operations and academic progression for undergraduate and graduate programs. You will lead four Student Success professionals, coordinate with faculty and external agencies, and ensure FERPA-compliant records management and reporting.

The role reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and involves budget oversight, staff development, and process improvement using Salesforce CRM and related tools.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required.
• Master's degree from an accredited institution; minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in higher education student services; and demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency with Salesforce CRM, including experience creating reports, managing student records, and utilizing automation and workflows preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience in student admission, progression, and graduation, mentoring and adherence to all FERPA standards, systems development integration, team leadership and other similar services are necessary for this position.
• Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a higher education student services setting.

Aufgaben

• Oversee admissions operations for SON undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and non-degree programs, including transcript processing and enrollment steps.
• Serve as primary technical administrator for Salesforce CRM and maintain applicant data and document interfaces (AdobeSign, MS Access, MS Excel).
• Direct staff and collaborate with program coordinators, faculty, and external agencies to implement programs and services.
• Ensure confidentiality, security, and privacy of student information and records.
