Job summary

Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking a Student Success Coordinator to support students from onboarding through graduation at our Irving, TX campus. The role centers on retention, certification readiness, and program completion, building strong relationships and addressing barriers to success.

You will engage students, coordinate interventions, and document progress while collaborating with other departments to promote student outcomes and program growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in student services or related support role.
• Experience in a proprietary (for-profit), post-secondary educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of students and meet defined performance metrics (retention, certification readiness, graduation progression).
• Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students throughout their academic journey.
• Drive retention and certification outcomes through early intervention and milestone tracking.
• Accurately document all student interactions and outcomes; contribute to weekly/monthly reporting.

Schedule

Monday- Thursday: 9-6 or 10-7( One evening per week) Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role

Student Success Coordinators are deeply student-centered, data-informed, and outcomes-driven. While this role has a primary functional focus on retention and certification, all coordinators operate as unified members of the Student Success team and share ownership of overall student outcomes.

As a Student Success Coordinator, you will develop strong relationships with and support students from onboarding through graduation, building strong, consistent relationships with students, proactively addressing barriers to success, and driving outcomes related to retention, certification, and program completion.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Accountability

• Manage an active caseload of students and meet defined performance metrics, which may include retention and persistence, certification readiness and attainment, and graduation progression

Student Engagement & Advocacy

• Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students throughout their academic journey, building rapport,trustand accountability
• Proactively engage students toidentifyand addressacademic and otherbarriers to persistence, certification readiness, and completion

Retention & Certification Support

• Drive retention and certification outcomes through early intervention, milestone tracking, and consistent follow-up
• Support accommodation requests, resource referrals, andappropriate escalationas needed

Data, Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately documentallstudent interactions and outcomes
• Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, andrequiredaudisin addition to weekly and monthly reporting on student success metrics

Events, Programming & Collaboration

• Support,participatein,and/orfacilitatestudent successevents andinitiatives such as retention workshops, certification readiness activities, career fairs, and alumni events, collaborating with other departments as needed

Other Duties

• Performadditionaltasks as assigned by the Supervisor, including required onboarding and ongoing training related to student success systems, performance metrics, and operational processes

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired
• Associate or bachelor'sdegree preferred

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in student services, advising, career services, workforce development, recruiting, or a related support role
• 1 yearof related experience in a proprietary (for profit), post-secondary educational setting preferred

Skills

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, andwritten and verbal communication skills with a student-centered approach
• Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with shared accountability
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems
• A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to work outside regular business hours and travel locally or overnight as needed
