Location: 3711 South Ashland Ave Chicago IL 60609

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday : 10:00am - 7:00pm

Compensation: Up to $30/hr

About the Role

Student Success Coordinatorsare deeply student-centered, data-informed, and outcomes-driven. While this role has a primary functional focus onretention andcertification,all coordinatorsoperateas unified members of the Student Success team and share ownership of overall student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Accountability

  • Manage an active caseload of students and meet defined performance metrics, which may include retention and persistence, certification readiness and attainment, and graduation progression

Student Engagement & Advocacy

  • Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students throughout their academic journey, building rapport,trustand accountability
  • Proactively engage students toidentifyand addressacademic and otherbarriers to persistence, certification readiness, and completion

Retention & Certification Support

  • Drive retention and certification outcomes through early intervention, milestone tracking, and consistent follow-up
  • Support accommodation requests, resource referrals, andappropriate escalationas needed

Data, Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately documentallstudent interactions and outcomes
  • Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, andrequiredauditsin addition to weekly and monthly reporting on student success metrics
  • Support,participatein,and/orfacilitatestudent successevents andinitiatives such as retention workshops, certification readiness activities, career fairs, and alumni events, collaborating with other departments as needed

Other Duties

  • Performadditionaltasks as assigned by the Supervisor, including required onboarding and ongoing training related to student success systems, performance metrics, and operational processes
Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GEDrequired
  • Associate or bachelor'sdegree preferred

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in student services, advising, career services, workforce development, recruiting, or a related support role
  • 1 yearof related experience in a proprietary (for profit), post-secondary educational setting preferred

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, andwritten and verbal communication skills with a student-centered approach
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with shared accountability
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems
  • A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to work outside regular business hours and travel locally or overnight as needed
