Job summary

WSU Tri-Cities GEAR UP is seeking a Student Achievement Specialist for Ephrata High School with a work location in Ephrata, WA. The role involves tutoring, advising and mentoring students, assessing participants' needs, and creating individual action plans to boost college and career readiness.

This position also provides student and academic support services to increase college and career readiness, guides students with college and career exploration, and supports in planning and supervising

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience is required.
• A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
• Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Tutors, advises and mentors students to assess needs and create individual action plans.
• Provides student and academic support to increase college and career readiness.

• Plans and supervises field trips to college campuses.
