WSU Tri-Cities GEAR UP in Richland, WA is seeking a Student Achievement Specialist to support high school students on college and career pathways. The role includes tutoring, advising and mentoring, with plans tailored to each participant’s needs through in-person and virtual meetings.
You will assess participants’ needs, create individualized action plans, provide academic support, guide college and career exploration, and collect data for assessment and reporting to measure program impact.

WSU Tri-Cities GEAR UP is seeking a Student Achievement Specialist with a work location in Richland, WA. Position has the responsibilities of tutoring, advising and mentoring students to include assessing participants’ needs and creating individual action plans both in person and via virtual meetings. Provides student and academic support services to increase college and career readiness, guide students with college and career exploration, and collect student data for assessment and reporting requirements.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
