Job summary

Dona Ana Community College is seeking a Student Success Advocate. This full-time role focuses on comprehensive academic and personal support to improve student retention, persistence, and graduation rates.

You will build relationships with students, coordinate wraparound services, and help navigate college processes across multiple campuses. Required is an Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• Bilingual competency will be considered an asset.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic, personal, and student-success support to DACC students to boost retention and graduation rates.
• Develop and maintain relationships through proactive outreach and coaching.
• Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for students in navigating college processes.
• Monitor progress and identify at-risk students using enrollment, attendance, and engagement indicators.
• Create individualized success plans and interventions based on students' needs and goals.
• Assist with academic planning, course selection, degree progression, and financial aid navigation.
• Collaborate with faculty, counselors, and other staff to coordinate wraparound support.
• Connect students with tutoring, advising, counseling, and career services.
• Maintain regular communication via meetings, calls, email, and virtual appointments.
• Document contacts, interventions, and outcomes in line with FERPA and policies.
