The role focuses on fostering campus community and supporting student persistence through events and personalized guidance. Responsibilities include coordinating orientation, assisting with admissions documentation, maintaining records, and preparing students for industry

Qualifications

• 4 yr degree in related field preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years of experience in education field preferred but not required.
• Ability to advise and guide adult students in academic and life-skill matters.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate new student orientation and registration in collaboration with other support departments and Admissions to ensure students are informed and prepared to begin their academic pursuits.
• Assists with identifying local employment opportunities, populating job boards, creating resumes, and coordinating on campus events to support active students in their job search endeavors.
• Monitors grades and attendance to ensure that students are maintaining satisfactory progress and academically advises students who fail for either academic or attendance reasons.
• Plans and coordinates career fairs, employer visits, MSAT expos, virtual employer sessions, and other employment events.
• Ensures ACCSC standards and state guidelines are met by accurately collecting and recording students' and graduates' employment records.
• Assists with the preparation of accommodation plans following UTI’s ADA/504 policy and Veterans Benefits process.
